First, from Juanita:

"To The Dogues and Dogue-Dogues:

I have been asked by my Master and Mistress to pass on these sites
to your Mas/Mis:

Norman - This is the homepage of my Mas/Mis' oldest puppy.

Kirkmusic - This is a type of music to which my Mas/Mis seem to adhere.
I like it, too, and frequently sing along.

With best regards,
Dig long and prosper...
Juanita The Dogge"
What can I say besides that your Master/Mistresses eldest pup appears to be a little blotchy and has a strange fascination with objects that were not intended to fly.

Next, to Master Fred (Shadow's Master). I sent a note to Shadow, asking if he's OK (I was a little concerned re. Master Fred's new tubular fascinations - see my last diary entry). Master Craig then received this reply from Master Nazi Fred:

"Please inform Roge that Shadow's head is not in a tube.
His ass, however, is off at a month-long training adventure.
Actually, his whole body is there. It's a combination boot
camp/resort. He's learning to be a good soldier, though
when I went to visit him it seemed all he had learned was
how to bark at a flag. Details will follow when my life
settles down. I'm going into debt tomorrow for several
lifetimes in order to live in a new neighborhood.
Laterz!

ps. Tell Roge they have a pool shaped like a dog bone. I'm
not kidding."

I'm very sad about Master Nazi Fred's behaviour in sending Shadow to Boot Camp. I know about these places where dogs are taught to act human - at least Master Craig doesn't mind me being a dog (with my doggy habits).

It was like that in Germany in the 1930's - good people stood aside whilst dogs were recruited to become Superdogs and work for the Nazi war machine - this was a very sad time for dogs everywhere. Now Master Fred is having Shadow trained. It is a sad day - here in Australia we're concerned with our petty protests, whilst our brothers and sisters elsewhere are subjected to torture, starvation etc.

Master Fred, be assured that this matter has been reported to the canine branch of Amnesty International and we're having badges made up with "Free Shadow" on them.

Nevertheless, I do quite like the idea of going to a doggy resort where I could laze in a bone-shaped pool. I hope that they have a poolside bone service.

Still, barking at flags is nasty Nazi behaviour and should be stopped.

As to Ellie and I - we had a peaceful weekend. We sat around and didn't even try to restore life to our bone collection. I did do a little work on my contraption - but the sun was just too nice to miss out on. In short, we just enjoyed being relatively normal dogs. There is no fervour at our place.

Ellie Take me to the next diary entry!

a very nice picture of me I'd be very happy if you'd sign Master Craig's visitors' book before you leave (he won't create one for me).
